This russian Tiramisu is a slight variation from normal italian classic tiramisu ,instead of ladyfinger biscuit sponge cake or Biskvit is used..layered with smooth mascarpone cheese,coffee cream layer..this recipe just melts in mouth..
i Love Tiramisu so like to give it a try in different form .This recipe would be alternative to tiramisu recipe using ladyfinger… The sponge cake used is super soft ,fluffy and light and uses just 4 ingredient to prepare this cake… This recipe is adapted from Natashaskitchen with my own variation.

- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 cup Mascarpone cheese
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 cup Sweetened whipped cream
- 2 tbsp coffee syrup (2 tbsp warm water mixed with 2 tsp coffee and 2 tbsp sugar)
- coffee powder for dusting
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp coffee powder

- pre heat the oven @180 c for 10 minutes
- Butter a 6" square pan and line with parchment paper and keep aside.
- Beat the eggs and sugar till light ,fluffy and double in size. Add in vanilla essence and flour mix well ..Donot over mix.pour into the baking tin and bake @ 180 c for 25-30 minutes until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow it to cool and cut them into 3 layers and keep aside.
- In another bowl beat the mascarpone cheese till creamy then add in sugar and coffee syrup finally fold in whipped cream. Add 1/2 cup sugar if you are using unsweetened whipped cream.
- In a square pan layered with cling flim Add the first layer of cake slic ,drizzle with coffee syrup then layer with cream mixture then again layer with cake and do as same...Finally a layer of cream and dusted with coffee powder
- Chill it for 2 hours,slice and serve.
